Compulsory School DaysOur official start of the academy day is 8:50am and our official end of the day is 3:15pm. This means that our pupils are in the academy for 6 hours and 25 minutes per day. Over a week, this totals 32 hours and 5 minutes per week.
SupervisionTeachers are on supervision duty from 8.50 am to 12.05pm, and for 5 minutes before and 10 minutes after the afternoon session. Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 teachers take their class outside for an afternoon break, weather permitting. All other classes will have a comfort break as required. Non-teaching staff supervise at all other times between the start and end of the academy day. |

RegistrationMorning and afternoon lessons begin with registration. Registers ‘close’ and are sent to the academy office at 9.10am and 1.10pm. Children registered after this are ‘late’. |

Class Organisation - September 2023
The seven age groups are taught in single age classes. The classes are of mixed ability and a range of teaching and learning styles are used according to the needs of the children and the nature of the activities being undertaken. Where a class size in Key Stage 1 exceeds 30 for more than a year the school aims to employ a second teacher.
