The governors wish to appoint the following staff to start September 2021.

  

Cook-in-Charge

Permanent Contract

NJC Scale 3, SCP 5-6, £10.01 per hour to £10.21 per hour

35 hours per week, term time only

(plus 2 additional days are required during the school holidays)

 

Monday – Friday 7.30am – 3.00pm (flexibility required subject to Covid restrictions)

 

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated candidates to work in a busy kitchen environment. The successful candidate will have responsibility for staff management, administration duties and the production of up to 210 meals per day. You will be assisted by a friendly, efficient and experienced team.

 

Candidates should have experience of food preparation for large numbers. Applicants should enjoy the challenges of encouraging children to eat nutritious food.

Applications are invited from candidates who are able to demonstrate the following:

 

Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.

 

Ability to constantly improve own practice/knowledge through self-evaluation and learning from others.

 

Willingness to undertake First Aid Qualification.

 

It is essential that applicants should have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in food preparation and cooking qualification.

Senior Teaching Assistant

Permanent Contract

NJC Scale 3, SCP 5-6, £10.01 per hour to £10.21 per hour

20 hours per week, term time only

Monday – Friday 9.00am – 1.00pm (flexibility required subject to Covid restrictions)

 

Applications are invited from candidates who are able to demonstrate the following:

 

To be a creative and effective Teaching Assistant.

 

To be a team player and a positive thinker who can inspire children to learn and who believes that every child can succeed.

 

Successful experience in working in a school environment with children of primary school age.

 

Passion and initiative in the creation and delivery of stimulating learning opportunities.

 

Ability to relate well to children and other adults.

 

Ability to support and deliver learning which includes involvement in planning cycle, undertaking evaluation and cover supervision.

 

Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.

 

Ability to constantly improve own practice/knowledge through self-evaluation and learning from others.

 

Ability to use ICT effectively to support and deliver small group learning sessions and ability to use other technology equipment.

 

Working knowledge of national/foundation stage curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies.

 

Willingness to undertake First Aid Qualification.

 

It is essential that applicants should have NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience.

 

As part of the final selection process, you would usually be asked to deliver a short lesson, but this may not be possible on this occasion. We would advise you to make reference to or include recent lesson feedback in any documentation that you submit.
