Class Teacher (Year 2)

Full time, Maternity Cover, Temporary

The Governors invite applications from outstanding candidates to join our hard working, friendly and supportive team in this popular and successful academy. Applicants should be sympathetic to the Christian aims of the academy. 

Applications from experienced colleagues are welcome. Please state curriculum strengths and interests. We would particularly welcome applicants with experience of KS1.

Post 2 – Senior Teaching Assistant

Permanent Contract

Required asap

NJC Scale 3, SCP 5-6, £12.18 - £12.38 per hour (pay award pending)

28.75 hours per week, term time only

Are you an exceptional, creative practitioner who wants to make a difference to the lives of our pupils?

We are looking to appoint a senior teaching assistant to join our team committed to improving the outcomes for pupils by providing high quality support to our learning environment. It is expected the successful candidate will be keen to embrace new challenges in supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.

We provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for pupils who are taught in single-age classes by a skilled and enthusiastic teaching team.

The successful candidate must be a highly motivated and dedicated practitioner who will attend to pupils’ individual needs and, under the direction of the teacher, deliver structured learning activity programmes in addition to providing support in the classroom in the absence of the teacher. You will be required to have the ability to use your own initiative when responding to the needs of individual pupils and to have excellent interpersonal skills.

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • relevant qualifications and successful experience of delivering pupil learning activities
  • a good working knowledge of the national/foundation stage curriculum
  • passion and enthusiasm for working with children to secure good progress for all pupils.

Post 1 - Fun Club Playworker

Permanent Contract

Required asap

NJC Scale 1c, SCP 3, £11.79 per hour (pay award pending)

10 hours per week, term time only

(hours to be agreed)

Additional hours are required to cover staff absences.

Fun Club opening hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am – 9.00am and 3.00pm – 6.00pm.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to assist, under supervision and clear instruction, in routine tasks in the day to day care of children at the Academy Fun Club, in order to provide creative play opportunities in a safe and caring environment.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible and enjoy working as part of a team. Applicants should be sympathetic to the Christian aims of the academy.
