We are a popular, vibrant and successful primary academy providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment for pupils who are taught in single-age classes by a skilled and enthusiastic teaching team.

 

Our latest Ofsted report (June 2014) commented:  “This caring, family ethos that the Principal and her very able senior leadership team have created allows staff to take a pride in their school and to flourish professionally”. 

 

The governors wish to appoint the following staff to start asap.

 

Post 1: Teaching Assistant

Required as soon as possible

Scale 2, £8.19 - £8.54 per hour

16.25 hours per week, term time only

Monday to Friday 12 noon – 3.15pm

 

We are currently looking for an individual with previous successful experience in supporting teaching and learning who will ensure that all dedicated time is devoted to the maximum benefit of our pupils in order to help in sustaining our most recent Ofsted rating of ‘outstanding’.

 

You must have:

 

  • Successful experience in working with reception and KS1 pupils
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
  • Passion and initiative in the creation and delivery of stimulating learning opportunities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with all stakeholders

Post 2: Teaching Assistant

Scale 2, £8.19 - £8.54 per hour

20 hours per week, term time only

Monday to Friday 9.00.am – 1.00pm

 

We are currently looking for an individual with previous successful experience in supporting teaching and learning, to support a child with a statement of SEN for special additional needs as he progresses through the academy. Further specific details, including job description and personnel specification, are available from the academy.

 

You must have:

 

  • Successful experience in working in a school environment with children of primary school age
  • Passion and initiative in the creation and delivery of stimulating learning opportunities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with all stakeholders
  • Flexibility to cover occasional extra sessions to cover illness and training and be willing to undertake training yourself
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) and Individual Education Plans (IEP’s)
